Book Buzz: Predation by SJ Parkinson – “Excellent Military Science Fiction”

Predation“A mesmerizing streak through a galactic war that had me with the action at every step of the way. Proud soldiers and excellent aliens. Haven’t enjoyed tech SF so much in a long time and Predation is definitely on my recommended reading list.” ~ L. Stimeling, Amazon Review

“This is one of those hard-core military fighting page turners full of how everything works. A fair number of active characters which I like, with enough personal development to make them interesting to the reader. Land, Air and Space conflict.” ~ Sparta, Amazon Review

“I started this novel with reservations. I’m not a big science fiction fan and was half expecting not to make it past the first few chapters. Instead the book grabbed me and I ended up enjoying it to the end. If you strip away the sci-fi, the tech and wiz-bang weapons, you’ll still have a solid character based story. I would’ve liked more character development and history, but that said it did leave me wanting more. The plot flowed naturally and it was easy to imagine the action. The space and ground based combat sequences were well done. Seeing the conflict from multiple POV’s, including the enemy, was also entertaining. I’ll be checking out other works by this author. Well done. 5 stars.” ~ Michael Digby, Amazon Review
