Book Description: Time: 1935. Place: New York City. Crime beat reporter Jim Locke gets sucked into a quagmire of death, deceit, and danger when his actress sister is murdered – and he becomes the prime suspect. When he uncovers a pattern of similar murders, he is convinced that a serial killer is on the loose. But the police aren’t buying it, and it’s up to Jim to stop the madman. The hunt takes him from the grimy streets and smoke-filled bars of Manhattan to deceptively laid-back Key West, just as a killer storm bears down on the island. THE STORM KILLER has it all: hard-boiled narrative, gripping suspense, period detail, an unlikely hero battling his inner demons, and a stunning conclusion that you won’t see coming. Highly recommended!–Miriam Auerbach, author of Dirty Harriet Rides Again Read more on Amazon.

About the Author:
In September of 2003 my wife, Mary, and I moved aboard our 36-foot Sailboat, Rough Draft. It was our intention to take the boat south from Minnesota to warmer climates where I would write a novel. We sailed the boat through the inland river system from Minnesota to Mobile, Alabama where we lived for two years. We also spent three months living in Key West. Currently, the boat is docked in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In 2011 we will take the boat to the Caribbean where we plan to drift until it is no longer fun.

In the time we’ve lived on the boat I have completed three mystery novels. It was my intention to find an agent and a publisher. After careful consideration I have decided to publish these books as e-books. The Storm Killer, is a historical thriller and Key Lime Blues, a mystery set in current day Key West, are both available for Kindle.

“I was hooked from the first page. The Storm Killer has all the ingredients I like in a book of this genre. A flawed, but likable main character, beautiful women that are intelligent and two great cities, NYC and Key West. Mike Jastrzebski writing was smooth, precise and kept me turning pages long after my bedtime.” ~ Andy Angel, Amazon Reviews
