Book Buzz: Ghost Leopard: For Fans of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson

Ghost Leopard (for Harry Potter and Percy Jackson fans #1)“I have two boys (age 9 and 12) who still enjoy being read to before bed. It’s always a challenge to find a story that keeps both of them captivated. The Ghost Leopard was perfect! There was plenty of action to satisfy my youngest’s desire for high paced adventure while my eldest was mesmerized by a story set in India.” Gage, Amazon Review

Hello Digital Book Today readers. The Book Buzz segment today features Ghost Leopard by Lars Guignard which is rated 4.9 stars on 13 reviews. If you have chapter readers or young teens in your house who have enjoyed Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, then Ghost Leopard is a great recommendation for them. Young readers devour a series once they get hooked and they can’t seem to get enough. As they get close to finishing the last book in a series as a parent you start worrying what will grab their attention next. I personally have been in this situation and as a parent you want that attention grabber to be another book. Give your young readers a chance to enjoy Ghost Leopard. We are sure it will not disappoint.

“I really enjoyed reading Zoe & Zak and the Ghost Leopard! It was very addictive and hard to put down! It was very descriptive which made it easy to understand. By the end of the book, I had a clear image of all of the characters and their personalities in my head. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!” Anna P., Amazon Review

“The book is well written and it never gets boring. I learned a lot about India. I couldn’t stop reading until I was done.” DW Ward, Amazon Review

Book Description: Zoe Guire just talked to an elephant. Well, technically speaking, the elephant spoke to her, but either way it was weird and, as a rule, Zoe doesn’t do weird. Except the thing is, when Zoe goes along on her mom’s business trip to India, things get very weird, very quickly. Soon after she arrives, Zoe finds herself tagging alongside a kid named Zak, lost in a crazy city, with no money and no way home. And those are the least of Zoe’s troubles. Because if she’s to believe the scary-looking snake charmer guy sitting in the corner, she and Zak have been chosen — chosen to protect some kind of mythical animal called the Ghost Leopard from who knows what.

Now, the further they get into the mountains, the more crazily impossible things get. Carpets
fly and statues talk and if either Zoe or Zak want to make it back to their parents, or the sixth grade, or anything even close to normal, they’re going to have to make some new friends, learn some new tricks, and listen, really listen to that talking elephant. Because if they don’t, nothing will ever be the same again… Read more on Amazon.

Just finished Lars Guignard’s ”The Ghost Leopard” and would highly recommend this fast-paced page turner for all kids who like stories that feature magic, mystery, and adventure in an exotic location. Guignard’s vivid descriptions of India — both the chaotic city scenes and the trip through the majestic Himalayas — bring the beauty of the country alive to young readers. E.J. Whalen, Amazon Review
