Dr. Seuss Knows Best

The Dog PrinceA guest post from author Fun London and the book The Dog Prince. Their blog is Tales from Fun London.

Dr. Seuss Knows Best

Jean-Paul Sartre: But on the other hand, it helps people to understand that reality alone counts, and that dreams, expectations and hopes only serve to define a man as a broken dream, aborted hopes, and futile expectations. Dr. Seuss:Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.

Sigmund Freud: We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love. Dr. Seuss: You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.

Friedrich Nietzsche: What labels me, negates me. Dr. Seuss: Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.

Werner Herzog: In the face of the obscene, explicit malice of the jungle, which lacks only dinosaurs as punctuation, I feel like a half-finished, poorly expressed sentence in a cheap novel. Dr. Seuss: A person’s a person, no matter how small.

Albert Camus: The question is that of knowing whether two and two do make four. Dr. Seuss: Oh, the THINKS you can think up if only you try!
Three cheers for the simplicity and wisdom of Dr. Seuss!
